Abstract
Percutaneous lumbar interspinous decompressive spacer (PLIS; WINNOVA Inc., Seoul, South Korea) insertion is one of the alternative treatment options for lumbar spinal stenosis, especially that caused by ligamentum flavum thickening. It distracts the interspinous space to indirectly decompress the affected neural elements. We report an unsuccessful case of PLIS insertion in a patient with osteoporosis. To maintain the dis-tractive effect of this device, the spine needs to be durable.
